5 Reasons You Need to Attend HRDS

In just a week’s time, Hotel & Resort Design South (HRDS) will be coming to the Miami Beach Convention Center. Across 6 – 7 June, HRDS will host conference sessions, networking opportunities and a product showcase displaying the industry’s most innovative suppliers. As the only event dedicated to professionals involved in the design of world-class hotels, resorts, and private island destinations across the South and LATAM regions, HRDS is a must attend. Want to know more? Read on for a preview of what’s to come, along with our top five reasons you can’t miss this trade show!

1. Connect

Hotel & Resort Design South is the only hotel trade show dedicated to connecting the niche South Region & LATAM hotel and resort interiors community. This hotel product sourcing and networking platform has been created exclusively to connect designers, architects and the global supply chain with hotel and resort brands from the South Region and LATAM markets. To encourage collaboration and foster relationships, HRDS boasts an action packed show itinerary. From opening parties and Happy Hour drinks to networking breakfasts and lunches, there are plenty of opportunities to connect at HRDS.

2. Source

The Product Showcase will feature a gallery-style display of hand-selected products from interior brands that supply to hotels, resorts, and private island destinations in the Southern and LATAM regions. Featuring over 40 of the most innovative suppliers in the hotel, resort and private island space, the Product Showcase will simplify sourcing high quality suppliers. See the products that will be displayed here.

Taking place alongside the world’s largest cruise design event, Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas (CSI), HRDS attendees will also have access to over 200 relevant exhibitors at CSI. Many of those exhibiting supply across the hotel, resort and cruise markets. Source products from the likes of JANUS Et Cie, P/Kauffman, Chelsom, American Leather Hospitality, Brintons Carpets, FrameWorks, Loloey and Tarkett.

3. Learn

The inaugural HRDS conference program, created in partnership with NEWH, will offer certified CEU-accredited interiors focused sessions that provide a comprehensive insight into the industry’s most pressing talking points.

This year’s program features a dynamic line-up of speakers and panel discussions covering topics ranging from travel horizons and design trends to shaping hospitality through regional influences. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to gain insights from, and network with some of the industry’s most innovative leaders while also earning continuing education credits. Hear from experts including Kavitha Iyer, Head of Design at IHG Hotels & Resorts and Trisha Poole, President at Design Poole Inc.

4. Attend as a VIP

To support industry buyers, we have also designed a dedicated VIP program. If you work for a hotel, resort, private island destination, design studio and/or influence purchasing decisions at the company you work for, it is highly likely you qualify for this incredible program. Find out more about the HRDS VIP Program here.

5. Explore

Interested in expanding into cruise? With many hotel brands entering this lucrative industry, from Aman to Four Seasons, the gap between hotel and cruise is bridging. Your HRDS pass also grants you entry to the co-located Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas (CSI). This provides the ideal opportunity to explore this market. Why not check out the Marine Design 101 session taking place at CSI? This interactive session provides a unique opportunity to pose your most pressing questions to the CSI advisory board, consisting of leading designers and cruise line executives, about this niche community.
