Welcome to the Speakers Resource Page. Here you will find arrival and meeting arrangements, as well as any FAQs regarding your participation in the Conference Program. Please bookmark this page – we will add any new information here between now and the show.

Helen Blantz has been confirming with speakers: 

  • Format, topics, speaking order etc.
  • Onsite meeting arrangements
  • Your session briefing notes (following your speaker briefing call you will receive briefing notes which confirm format/ key topics/ questions for the moderator to shape the conversation)

Registration and Badges

We are requesting that speakers register themselves for the show. The registration process is a simple one. It’s the same for everyone – please follow this link and fill in the requested information. Once registered, your badge type will be upgraded to reflect your primary role at the show.  For example, if you are an Exhibitor, you will receive an Exhibitor Pass. If you are eligible for a VIP Pass, your pass will be upgraded accordingly.

You can collect your badge upon entry to the show.


Opening Party

All speakers are warmly invited to attend our Opening Party on the evening of 5 June 2024.

Your digital invitation to the Opening Party will be available to view via the show app, which will go live a week before the show.

We are looking forward to bringing the industry together for informal drinks and networking ahead of the expo.

Venue: New World Center
Times: 7pm – 10pm.



Please arrive at least an hour before your conference session.

On your arrival at the venue, please make your way to the Registration Desk. Let them know you are a Speaker and they will print your badge for you. You will be able to collect your badge from 8:00 am.

Helen Blantz is co-ordinating speaker pre-meetings. These will take place at the same place your session is taking place HRDS Lounge (Location 136 on the FloorPlan). Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the session so that we can test your mic and make sure everything is working.

Presentation Guidelines

  • We are aiming for an informal, motivating and collaborative/interactive feel for the conference
  • We are not requesting presentations, but in places we may decide in our speaker briefing meetings that a few visuals on a rolling slide deck in the background will help make the session feel dynamic
  • If you are planning on providing slides for the group slide deck, please let Helen know
  • If you are planning on using a few slides, the final deadline to submit these is Wednesday 29 May 2024 and the organisers will collate slides from each speaker into one slide deck
  • It is important that presentations are in the 16:9 format and in point size no less than 16
  • Please ensure you have a backup copy of your slides with you on a memory stick/thumb drive on the day
  • We request that all presentations use the Hotel & Resort Design South branded slide for the first slide. The organisers will provide this.
  • Speakers are welcome to use their own slide templates for slides in between
  • Please use this link to upload your slides directly to our technician
  • Please don’t email your presentation directly

Helen has arranged a pre-meeting so that you can meet your fellow speakers in person before your session. Please see “Arrival” section above for when and where to meet. We will use the temporary WhatsApp group (by session) to communicate on the day.
